Sara B needs a new home. Ray Stevens design Tancook Schooner built in the early 50's. Cedar planks on oak frames, galvanized nail fastenings. Gaff-rigged main and fore, with two headsails (dacron) and old but usable canvas fisherman staysail. Extra suit of old canvas sails also available.  Original Thornycroft 2 cyl diesel, old but runs good.

In 2010, being a bit tired, she was given the 'Vaitses' treatment: very heavy polyester fiberglass stapled to the hull. Deck covered with Meranti plywood and epoxy/Dynel. At the same time, inside lead ballast was moved outside with new keel bolts and encased in heavy fiberglass. This resulted in a modified keel shape but above the waterline and below decks she's still very much traditional looking. She is now low maintenance and shipworm proof!

47' overall length, 38' on deck, 10.5' beam, 5' draft. Displacement about 9 tons.

See website and log at http://sarab.brownroad.com for extensive history and photos.

Price reduced to $16,000.  Located on NY shore of Lake Ontario (Little Sodus Bay).
